Annual Prize Giving 2006

This year CSEP celebrated its 23rd Prize giving Event at Stanley Halls in South Norwood SE25. It was very well attended, amongst ours distinguish guests was the Worshipful Mayor of Croydon, Cllr. Janet Marshall. This year's theme was "Reach for a Goal" which was inspired by the World Cup.

The Presenters of the evening's festivities were both former students of CSEP and did a fantastic job.

The Guest Speakers were Mr. Paul Crooks, a renowned author and Mr. Tim Campbell the 2005 winner of "The Apprentice." The speakers charged their speeches with words of encouragement, inspiration and empowerment. The speakers were very impressed with the standard of the performances by the students, in particular the readings from the younger students entitled "When I grow up I want to be...." and the older students "What it's like to be a young person in Britain today!"

This years' Student of the Year proved to be a show stopper winning awards across all categories and as did the winner of the Bishop's Prize. The Bishop's Prize is the highest honour bestow to our students who have achieved the best GCSE results from the previous year. She also was the co-choreographer of the CSEP Dance Ensemble and co-director of the CSEP Choir.
