The main focus of the project is on developing competence/excellence in the core subjects of the National Curriculum (English, Maths and Science). CSEP provide help and support to young people in terms of study skills, revision techniques, help with mainstream school topics and projects.
Support is provided by a dedicated team of 30 teachers and administration staff and volunteers many of whom are vastly experienced professionals.
In carefully planned lessons, each student is helped towards achieving his or her academic potential.
We help our students reach their full potential by offering:
Many of our young people progress into further education, employment or training, this is testament to the work provided at CSEP. The project gives these young people the opportunity they would not otherwise have, through funding from Croydon Council. Croydon Council have supported and encouraged our work throughout the years. Croydon Council recognize the importance of supplementary education in Croydon and the support CSEP gives to students who reside or go to school in the borough of Croydon.
The aim of the French club is to build on the language skills and offer to learners an insight into the culture and society of the countries where French is spoken....
CSEP operate a waiting list, children are invited to attend once a space becomes available in their year group. It is not on a first come first served basis. Unfortunately, there are no spaces available in any year group, although we do recommend parents register their child(ren) as circumstances of present students change, in addition we continually seek funding to increase capacity.
You may register your child(ren) by completing a registration form which can be obtained from our office. Forms will not be posted to parents as we are able to process registration forms immediately. We are open Monday - Friday 09:30am - 2:30pm and Saturdays during term time from 10:30am - 2:30pm.
With effect from 1st September 2010, ALL payments must be made in advance. Alternatively, you can assist us to by setting up a Standing Order, the aim is to provide families with more flexibility and the option to spread the cost over 10 equal payments* from September to June each academic year. We would prefer not to accept payments by cash or cheque at Reception on a Saturday. We prefer not to hold large amounts of cash on the premises as a precaution, and we are therefore requesting that all parents make payments of cash or cheque during the week, between 9:45am and 5:00pm. This change will enable CSEP to provide better clerical service to families during the week and more robust accounting practices.
CSEP will only be offering three payment options as follows (please see table below for due dates):
* eligible existing families = Families whose children have attended Saturday School in a previous school year and who currently have no outstanding balances or arrears for fees from previous time periods

This has resulted in financial losses to CSEP and prevented families with children on the waiting list from taking up available places. Due to this experience, and in order to minimise losses, all NEW places allocated will require the payment of a Refundable Deposit of £100.00.
Contributions Explained
CSEP remains one of the most economical supplementary education providers in Croydon and we continue to provide added value to the family as well as our children.
CSEP endeavours to expand and offer many more services to all members, your family’s annual contribution enables CSEP to provide access to a sustainable supplementary education provision that will support the needs of your children.
We estimate that approximately £900.00 value per annum of support to each child in the form of two (2) hours per week of classroom education to help improve levels of attainment and their performance in mainstream education. CSEP applies for grants annually to subsidise this total value however we do ask all parents to make an annual contibution towards this average cost of provision, which enables CSEP to remain as sustainble and independent as possible.
To assist our families CSEP continues to allow the annual contribution to be paid in ten (10) equal instalments to help spread the cost throughout the year.
As an incentive there is also an additional discount available if the contirbution is made made monthly by standing order. The contribution will be collected automatically from your bank account as each instalment becomes due on the first day of each month.
You are required to give one (1) calendar month’s notice prior to the end of term, in writing, if you wish to withdraw your child (children). Notice should be dated prior to the cut-off dates below, stating the name and year group of the child (children), the last day they will attend, and if possible, a specific reason for the withdrawal of the child (children).
