CSEP Black History Month Heritage Day

This was the first CSEP Heritage Day which kicked off with a Black History quiz at 12.00pm Midday. The teams were “New Era” “Isis” and “Red Endeavour”. The winning team “Red Endeavour” received their winners medals from Shaun Wallace.

Prizes for the raffle were generously donated by Treasures Gift shop and Kizala gift shop

We were entertained by Poet & Barrister – David Neita who recited some of his inspirational poems from his book of poetry. (Watch this space for his upcoming book launch)

Finally we all gathered outside in the car park for a Caribbean Stilt Walking performance to the sounds of soca by international and professional stilt performer Kyle Walcott. This was a fantastic experience especially when he jumped over the head of a 6ft 3ins person- magical – watch this space for stilt walking workshops next year.
