National Archives pre-Liverpool Workshop

Dan Lyndon, Head of History at Henry Compton School, Fulham came to CSEP to give a workshop to students in preparation for the trip to the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool

The workshop consisted of:

• A timeline of Black history, putting key individuals in chronological order
• Elizabeth I and the Blackamores – looking at the Black presence in Tudor times, using sources like the National Archives Black Presence website
• Olaudah Equiano – using the education pack developed for the Equiano exhibition in Birmingham Gallery and Museum
