NEWS - MARCH 2007
Mentoring
CSEP PACEMAKERS was highlighted during a recent BEACON STATUS evaluation visit. CSEP has been commissioned by Croydon Council to provide a Mentoring service for Disaffected Pupils (e.g. PACEMAKERS). During the Visit CSEP was held up as an example of how well the commissioning process has worked to enable a voluntary sector organisation to deliver this service on behalf of the Council but with the ability to meet the genuine needs of the local users.

CSEP has elected a new chair of the Management Committee. Allison Lammy who was the treasurer has stepped into the role as a natural successor to Vic Hanson who has come to the end of his term as chair.

Election of officers will take place the EGM for the position of Chair of the Management Committee and the position of Vice-Chair of the management Committee. Sponsored Reading
The students will be given a task to do over the Christmas holidays ‘Sponsored Reading’ the forms for the sponsored reading will be given out to the students on the last day of term and should be returned by 13th January 2007. This year's Sponsored Reading will form part of Prize giving Funding raising efforts. The students who have read the most books will be awarded a prize which will be given at the Annual Prize giving Evening.
