Croydon Supplementary Education Project (CSEP) is a leading provider of supplementary education programmes for the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Community in Croydon. CSEP is primarily a Saturday School for 150 BME children between the ages of 4 – 18 to bolster their mainstream education and help to improve achievements of BME students in the core subjects of Maths and English in line with the National Curriculum.
CSEP, established since 1982, is a registered charity (No: 297019) and has become a community led project now offering a wide range of services and activities from Monday to Saturday to a diverse range of the population in London, primarily targeting the residents of Croydon.
CSEP is continuously working to enhance the educational achievement of BME young people and is also here to support the needs of the family in order to facilitate a more positive outcome for BME groups. The ultimate aim of CSEP is to be of service to the BME community and to help these families raise their self-esteem so that they can maximise their opportunities and self-worth.
The project aims to achieve this by having the relevant initiatives important to the education of people from the BME community so that they may be stimulated, be heard and have the confidence to take steps to achieve their own goals.
