CSEP and Croydon College work closely to deliver Adult and Community learning initiatives to the hard to reach and excluded members of the community in Croydon.
CETS is a local Education Authority service, and is a major supplier of Adult and Community Learning in Croydon delivering a wide range of award bearing and non-award bearing courses together with provision for self-directed learning.
CSEP currently partner with CETS to offer regular ESOL classes at the Project on selected weekday mornings during term time.
The Life Skills Training Consultancy (LSTC), formerly know as Mentoring Solutions specializes in life skills training and works in all sectors of the community including Youth Offending Team’s, secondary schools, primary school, colleges, community organizations and corporate businesses. The training programs provided by LSTC are all designed in-house and are delivered by a network of associates.

Ufi (University for Industry) is the organisation responsible for the operation of learndirect across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and UK online centres in England.
learndirect and UK online centres form a government-backed network of several thousand centres supporting e-learning and e-services. Ufi also runs the free, impartial learndirect advice service.
learndirect has been developed by Ufi (University for Industry) with a remit from government to provide high quality post-16 learning. learndirect offers more than 550 different courses covering a range of subjects, including management, IT, Skills for Life and languages, at all levels. UK online centres aim to provide everyone in the UK with access to computers near to where they live, as well as help and advice on using them.
CSEP is a registered UK Online centre that provides free access to computers for members of the community as well as access to free training and advice about computer training.

CSEP supports the work they are doing by involving young people in initiatives that allow them to participate in the development of the Safer Croydon Strategy and also provide young people with safe and meaningful diversionary activities.
Community Chest and Community Empowerment fund
Promotes, develops and supports effective voluntary action, community development and activity for the benefit of the whole community in Croydon. CVA provides a wide range of support services for Voluntary and Community Sector Groups including bid writing and funding.
The South London Learning Partnership (SLLP) has been formed to represent those organisations with an interest in promoting learning to young people and adults. It is committed to widening participation in all types of learning to encourage a learning community across South London. This will be achieved through collaboration and partnership between a wide range of organisations.
CSEP is a member of the SLLP and also is on the Board of the South London Learning Consortium which is a Learning and Skills Council ESF funded project that is managed by the SLLP.
Croydon BME Forum coordinates the engagement of BME communities in all aspect of Croydon life whilst providing capacity building support to 97 BME voluntary and community sector organisations to secure their long-term sustainability. CSEP is a member of the Croydon BME forum.
Sat School, Mentoring and Reaching Out
Croydon Council supports CSEP by providing funding for the Saturday School and also more recently through support for our PACEMAKERS Mentoring Project. We have also access a few other grants via the council such as the Reaching Out grant to support our recent Black History Bus Tour project.
Digital Expression Project (CSEP Web Development)
CSEP continues to work closely with Croydon Police to help make the community safer and we have recently been awarded a grant via the MPS Property Act fund to assist CSEP to develop this corporate website and share some of the organisation's best practices with the wider community.
Informed Choices
Through the Connected Fund , CSEP has accesses funding for the last two (2) years to run Gun and Gang crime projects aimed at BME youths in Croydon.
New Opportunities Fund + Big Lottery Development Grant via UFI
CSEP has received revenue funding from the New Opportunities Fund (now BIG LOTTERY) to provide free Information Communication Technology (ICT) taster sessions and an more recently won an ICT development grant via the Big Lottery.
Newsflash: Heritage Chronicles
CSEP has received revenue funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to offer the
community an opportunity to participate in a range of free interactive
intergenerational learning activities for “understanding and remembering slavery”.
Gang awareness training for mentors
Croydon Supplementary Education Project has been awarded funding to train thirty (30) existing Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) community mentors who participate in their PACEMAKERS project to better enable them to understand and make positive changes with their Mentees who are at high risk joining gangs and of offending with weapons in high-risk areas of the borough.
Sat School PM
Connexions service has previously funded CSEP to assist in the expansion of the Saturday school afternoon services, and CSEP continues to work closely with the Connexions services to try to provide a holistic approach towards the development of young people in Croydon.
Local Network Fund
In order to help alleviate child poverty Peabody Trust currently administers the Local Network Fund for the Children's Fund.
CSEP was recently awarded two (2) years of funding from the Local Network Fund to deliver an extension of the PACEMAKERS Mentoring project to benefit more young people in Corydon.
CSEP would like to work in partnership with other voluntary sector and community based organisations.
We also wish to develop closer relationships with other providers of supplementary education aiming to share good practises and resources.
CSEP actively seeks partnerships with mainstream schools and colleges to ensure that there is greater synchronisation of activities and to raise levels of acheivment.
CSEP is keen to develop innovative programmes & projects with other organisations, to ensure that the Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) community have greater access to education and training through either pioneering delivery or new choices.
